  2. I've already put a few stitches in a quilt, first thing this morning. And there are plans to go to the local quilt shop. Gotta honor the day *s*

  5. Hi Norma,

Thanks for stopping by and for your advice on machine quilting. I think I decided by trial and error that I don't have such a thing as a walking foot! I tried machine quilting with a regular foot (I thought it was a walking foot) but the quilt bunched at the edge. So... took it out and did it freehand. A real walking foot is an attachment that looks like a small stapler (roughly) right? I'll be looking into getting one of those! Happy quilting.

  6. I've been out and unable to comment, but am now catching up and I saw your post on King. I am so sorry. He was such a handsome gentleman. Looks like he had a fabulous life!

  7. Hi Joyce, Happy National quilting day to you also!! Better late than never, right? *VBS*
I was so surprised to see that I am older than your Mom....LOL..most of time I'm older than dirt, I think. The flowers are beautiful as are the quilts that show up in the pictures. Looks like you keep her well supplied!! Love that second one, that has the applique around the border. Keep up the great work! Hugs, Finn
