Do You Recognize This Quilt Pattern?

Does anyone recognize this quilt pattern? My mother and I thought this would be a great table topper quilt done in seasonal fabrics. This quilt was also at the fair, but unfortunately, the pattern was not identified.

UPDATE: The mystery is solved. Thanks to Kim @ A Peach in Stitches, the name of this pattern is BQ from Maple Island Quilts. Several sent me the name, but Kim provided a copy of the pattern jacket so I know exactly what I am looking for in the quilt shop. Thanks, Kim!

  1. Very interesting! I've never seen anything like this. Looks like you could probably draft it with graph paper, however.

  3. Love this and might have to see if I can draft it in EQ. I had a FQ of that tulip fabric but used it in another project. Too bad I didn't see this one first!

  4. It kinda looks like a reversed Bento Box or something. I bet you would draw it up easily enough or as Nancy said, EQ it. Sorry that I cannot help with the name.

If the maker used a commercial pattern, then she should have acknowledged its source. That's a pet peeve of mine at any quilt show especially when I know for a fact, that it was in this or that book. The organizer should insist on that on the entry form--original design or an adaption/replica of Susie Q's blah, blah, blah. Credit where credit is due after all.

  5. It looks somewhat like the pattern BQ~from Maple Leaf(?...I'm not quite sure of the designer!) I have seen bigger versions on some quilting blogs.

  6. Yes, I think it looks like the BQ pattern Andi mentioned except with the blocks turned a little differently. I like it! I bought that pattern a few weeks ago and I'll have to keep this "twist" in mind.

  9. I see that there is a website
http://www.mapleislandquilts.com/quiltpatterns.asp for your updated quilt note--yeah, Kim and Karen for solving the mystery.

I see that they have three sizes listed on the quilt---54 x 72 is a good size for the kids quilts. I'm going to track this down to give a whirl, I think.
