Blogger has finally allowed me to upload this picture.
This is a picture of my paint chip for our Quilt Guild's Summer Challenge. I have placed the chip on top of one of the fat quarters that was in my prize package. This fabric will be one of the fabrics that I use to make my challenge block.
I love the idea behind the paint chip challenge! What a great way to try some new colours... The FQ in yourprize package will be perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteWill you tell us more about how this challenge works?

My sister is working on a quilt for her daughter that is just beautiful. And ALL the fabrics range from cream to tan much like the colors in your chip. I never would have chosen those colors myself but it really is making a striking quilt. When she finishes and sends me a pic I'll put a picture on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI would have a hard time working with a neutral like that--hope it doesn't pose a big dilemma for you. Any limit or how many fabrics you can add or drop as they often do with challenges?
ReplyDeleteNorma,
ReplyDeleteI am wanting more info on this challenge! I love your FQ though...star fabric was the first that I collected!

How do this challenge work ? Can you add colours of your choice to the challenge colours ?
ReplyDeleteI got it now - sounds like a fun challenge :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be trying this for my guild too... we're into doing 'different' block of the month ideas. Putting out a paint chip, and telling them they have to use a color from that chip would be fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a challenge quilt. I'd like to get my guild to try this.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a challenge! Please show us what you do with this idea.
