Quilt Guild Paint Chip Summer Challenge - Quilting Complete

Last night I put the borders on my "paint chip challenge project". I spent today quilting the piece and adding the buttons. I saw Dot's challenge project and she made her block into a pillow. I thought that was a fabulous idea and so I think I will borrow it and make my top into a pillow.

I changed the outside border from what I planned on using originally. This piece was also in the fat quarter bundle. The houses on this piece are smaller and I think better suited to this size of a project.

  1. Oh, I love that border print. And the red buttons are just the right touch. Do you get to keep this challenge?
Joey is a sweet looking cat. He must be happy to be in a quilter's home!

  2. What beautiful eyes he has! I get so used to seeing blue Siamese eyes, that cats with gold or green eyes look especially lovely.

And your paint chip project turned out great too!

  4. That is a nice border - almost makes the center look like a town square.

  5. good that you can change your mind and do what leads you---doesn't have to a be a wall hanging of some predetermined size.

I think that is why I am having some problems with the round robin---the danged rules!

  7. It looks very much like New England with some big windmills in the middle (lots of old windmills dotting the countryside of New England).

    Cheers!
